Statement of guiding principles

Criminal law is violence legitimized by the state.

I see it as my task to restrict this violence, to keep it within humane limits and to ensure that from the very beginning of a criminal proceeding no one is subjected to such violence without due protection.

A system of justice which increasingly tends to disregard the rights of the individual to freedom through an inflationary imposition of pretrial detention is more than ever in need of a strongcounter-force in the form of a determined and steadfast defense in order to reduce this restriction of freedom to an unavoidable minimum.
